Remembering Our Founder

REMEMBERING OUR FOUNDER

A message to our valued clients and partners

We were saddened and overwhelmed with the sudden passing of our cherished leader, Jake Lowrey, on Oct. 8, 2023. Jake was not just the face of our business and it’s founder, he was the creator of the firm’s values and vision, and was the person who many of our clients personally dealt with directly for many years.

Jake was the loving husband to Victoria and father to their twins, Lilya and Aden, and a loving son, brother and friend to many. His legacy on this firm is indelible and lasting. We are committed to upholding the values he instilled and continuing the expert financial guidance and client service that he delivered for nearly two decades.

Jake grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. He was an excellent billiards player and learned to fish and hunt at a young age. He was a letterman in ice hockey and football in high school and went to work at age 19 after a short stint at University of Milwaukee, first as a car salesman and then working in finance for an auto dealership in Madison. It was there at the dealership where he and Victoria met and started their lifelong relationship.

His life took a turn following the financial crisis of 2008, when he started helping elderly veterans navigate the complicated red tape of the federal government to obtain benefits. He realized he loved helping people obtain financial security and Lowrey Financial Group was born.

He and Victoria moved to Boston and their beautiful twins were born. The company was renamed Mass Wealth Management and Jake grew the business, taking his financial advice onto the airwaves on WRKO in Boston and stations in New Hampshire and Vermont. He built a team of advisors, each fully committed to the financial health of the firm’s clients. It is this team of dedicated advisors who will build on Jake’s legacy and take Lowrey Financial Group into the next era.

Jake had a loving family, a successful career and was a caring and giving person who participated in many philanthropic and charitable endeavors. He believed that people are here to help each other and to make each other’s lives better. Jake never had a dull day and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by all those he touched along his journey, including all of us here at Lowrey Financial Group.

We look forward to continuing to serve you, our trusted clients, and honoring his legacy every day. Building financial confidence, stability and wealth for each of our clients is how Jake built this company and it’s a privilege for us all to carry on that mission in his honor.

Jake Lowrey

Founder, Managing Partner, Former Financial Advisor

With 20 years in the financial services industry and licensed with AE Wealth since March 2023, Jake Lowrey was a financial professional who helped optimize strategies for any client – whether a C-suite executive, a small business owner or a retiree planning their next chapter.

In 2005, he started Lowrey Financial Group, pledging that his clients would have the best opportunity for a “Confident Financial Future” and creating his five-step “Financial Confidence Plan.”

With Lowrey Financial Group, he continued that mission. He was also the host of the popular “Mass Wealth Radio” weekly radio show, on which he discussed trends and news in finance, health care, retirement, legacy planning, and more, and answered questions from listeners across the country.

Jake’s experience and attention to detail has made him a prominent voice in the retirement planning space. His experience garnered national news coverage in Forbes, Fox Business, Financial Advisor Magazine, and Kiplinger.

Jake was also a dedicated supporter of the Jimmy Fund and Mercy Ships, a global charitable organization that provides health care for children and families in need around the world.
